City Govt begins Toll-Free service for Swine flu awareness

KARACHI: The City Government announced a toll-free n umber for swine flu awareness from Sunday; the crew would remain present at the number till 9pm.

Talking to Geo News, City Government Karachi EDO Health Dr AD Sanjani said the crew present at the toll-free number—0800-12012—would give information regarding the disease and preventive measures in this connection.

Dr Sanjani said a cell has been set up to garner statistics from various hospitals of the city with Dr Aslam Pervaiz as its focal person.

The EDO Health said the City Government department is waging advertisement campaign for the awareness of swine flu, under which hoardings and banners would be put up on main thoroughfares and various spots, adding the pamphlets for prevention against the disease would be distributed in schoolchildren.
